When I was a kid I built tons of model cars & planes,(Some RC - Remote control. ) I've also built flying model rockets as a kid and was into "high powered rocketry" as an adult for a while. After 9/11 , the propellants( for the motors) became hard to obtain and store, with way too much red tape and it became more of a pain in the ass than it was worth.

TOO MANY TO COUNT . WHY DO YOU ASK ?

I've made wooden ships in a bottle and metal planes. I'm going to make plastic cars to complete the collection.

In my misspent youth, I built a large HO train layout over the course of about two years. I scratchbuilt or kit-bashed all of the buildings and much of the rolling stock. I also built a large 4-lane 1/32 slot car track with a 30-foot back straight and several cars. I rewound the motors for maximum performance. In my teen and pre-teen years I built countless ships, planes, cars, and military vehicles. I was a model-building fool. ;-)

I have, in plastic. A lot Most of them are armored vehicles and figures from WWII In high school we did try out wooden models too.

Yes. Many model cars (Tamiya makes the best) and a few R/C ones. Too many overall to list. You aren't doing a 1/24 scale model right unless you take a one-bristle brush to the dashboard and hand-buff the five-coat paint job on the body. Spark plug wires are a bonus.

in my youth...wire was useful to make cars....

I made a model tyrannosaurus rex when I was younger :)
