  • I don't think Fermentation occurs in cells, Its a process that takes place *by* cells, ie Bacteria: Single celled organisms. They do this by consuming Sugar molecules and converting it into Alcohol, creating energy on the way. Do you mean what parts of the cell consume the Sugars, and what parts emit the by-products of fermentation?
