Help answer this question below.
Well, DudeLer 2, looks like you and me are the only two who do wear hearing aids. I've had mine for several years. They really help. I'm wearing a pair of Audibels in canal. They are adjustable by means of a push button on each unit. The best part is that I can turn them off by pushing and holding the buttons for 4 seconds. Good luck with your ears.
yes i wear them but not all the time. i had a new pair of digital ones last month and i really dont like them they are so big, i would like the ones that go in your ears so you cant see them i wonder how much they cost.
No but my Mum's friend does and has just got himself a new digital one that is fantastic, by all accounts.
No, but in case I ever do do you wear the big ones or the ones that go inside your ear? I heard the tiny ones that go inside don't last as long, therefore are more expensive.
No, my ears are fine. Of course, I do suffer from Selective Fadeout Syndrome. It mostly happens five minutes before the siren.
nope
What????????? :)
Yes i do. i was born deaf (i'm 14 btw) and i can't hear without my hearing aids so i rely on them completey so i'm really thankful but that doesn't stop me feeling depressed about it. i just hate it so much. if i could change anything about myself it would be not to be deaf, everytime. it really sucks :(
No but my hearing sucks.
no...but my doctor tells me that I am losing my hearing...nothing major yet:)
NO, I don't. Right now I don't need to and I hope it stays that way - the price seems like nothing short of extortion.
No.
It's my eyesight that needs assistance.
No, I am having trouble hearing, but my Mother-In-Law wears them and she says they are more trouble than they're worth. My insurance won't pay for them, so I will just have to keep on saying "what".
No - but once I thought I had a problem and went to see an audiologist.
He recommended a $5,000 in-ear hearing aid, got me to agree to give his office a deposit, and had his assistant take impressions of both ears.
I noticed signs of ear wax on the impression molds when they were removed, and asked the assistant who had done the job if she thought this was at all significant.
She said no.
Next day I realized that my hearing was much improved, and called in to tell the audiologist.
I thought he would be pleased.
He was not.
In fact he raised his voice and asked me to leave his office.
I told him there was no need to shout, that I could here him perfectly, even if he whispered.
Well I never did get my deposit back,
but today (a couple of "years" later)
my hearing is still great on both sides.
My advice:
Make sure you have no wax in your ears
before you go anywhere near an audiologist!
Nope. My ears are fine. But some of my friends have bad hearing O.o
hello, not at the moment, but i have deminished hearing in my right ear,i might be seeing an audiologist soon.i hear those hearing aides are very small so no one can see them.
Nope.
I should. I can't hear people's mumbles.
no
no i do not wear hearing aids i am very lucky
no i do not wear hearing aids
not yet..but I will probably have to one day.
Yep but they're no help.

You're reading I wear hearing aids. Do you?

Make that three of us, except I lost mine about five months ago and now I'm hearing aidless. I can hear without mine, but it helps in crowded spaces.

I had to have one of mine repaired. It took about 7 day for them to return it. During that week I felt lop sided hearing well out of one ear and not the other.
