How should I write an essay about Oedipus complex(Freud)?
I have already written about its meaning, and the stages of the psychosexual development. How should I go on?
p.s. this paper due the day next tomorrow and it should be 10 pages, I have done 5.

write on frueds own life and how he himself was torured by most of his complexes

Have you tried writing about its origin?
Tell the story of Oedipuis as an example of a case.

There was a Educated Professor, he had few days vacation, so he thought why not visit his ancestral village, where he had heard there are queer practices by the tribe, such as the COMMUNITY HUT and LOANING OF PARTNERS etc.,

You can project your theory from here onwards.

  It seems you have not read 3 sirens, There is a psychologist who gives analysis on the use and need of community hut. It is a concept in some tribes where anybody in need of companionship go their without taboos and sit and talk and do what they like, it is a good base to give a essay on psychology its projections and its implications, its needs in our society or its misuse can lead to AIDS.

Maybe you could write about how art and literature portray the Oedipus complex - different works of art and novels or stories. If you did a bit of research on the internet you will find a lot of artists and writers have used the oedipus complex as subject matter.
