The Church of Satan was founded in 1966 by Anton LaVey...who could be seen as an equivalent of a Pope for the time he was alive. He passed away in 1997. Current Church of Satan leaders are:
Magus Peter H. Gilmore, High Priest
Magistra Peggy Nadramia, High Priestess
Magistra Blanche Barton, Magistra Templi Rex

Note that the concept of the Pope includes infallibility. Satanists do not believe that anyone is infallible. Such a claim would violate the basic tenets of their beliefs.

The current High Priest and Priestess are Peter H. Gilmore and Peggy Nadramia. Please remember that Satanism and the Church of Satan have nothing to do with devil worship or anything evil. It's a religion based on the philosophies of Anton LeVey.

I read somewhere satanism (there was a source, but not anymore..((lol i lost it sorry.. so don't quote me lol)) that they do not praise the devil, or celebrate he who is satan, but instead they focus on the anarchy, the sin, and the fall of satan, but not the devil himself..
its like.. studying why he chose to rise up against the lord, the "rising up against" is the focus, is the way of living.

No,just Anton levay and he is dead.he started the satanic church in san fransisco california in 1966. he is also the author of the satanic bible which only mocks christianity.although many of the practices of the roman catholics were part of their pagan past and can be considered satanic.
