Night time leads into down time from the day time. You'll be resting and thinking more about how you're feeling.

For people with standard waking and sleeping times, being sleepy and hungry can interfere with emotional control. If you have already been up all day and have used up all you reserve, it can be very difficult.

Because you lay there all alone (unless you're lucky) and realize things that were in your control, that you handled the wrong way, you think of things you can't change & hope they do, and because it's a great reflecting time, less interuptions, and sometimes the darkness is harsh & consuming.

You have done things all day long that keep your mind occupied, at night we tend to rest and then we have time to think through everything.
