No unions hsave not pushed jobs out of this country. There were limited number of people in unions yet jobs have been sent out of country merely for the profit of paying sarvation wages in sweat shops and getting tax breaks from the us goverment This is all the while allowing alien workers to enter this country and driving down wages and continually raising the cost of living. You will typically find that a union worker does a better job than a non union employee this is not hear say but fact. . Mr Bill

No! Bill Clinton signing NAFTA and GATT are what pushed the jobs out of this country. Am I the only one who remembers Ross Perot talking about the "great sucking sound" you will hear if NAFTA and GATT were signed as all of our manufacturing jobs move to foreign countries? There are no import tariffs now and it's cheaper to hire people in foreign countries at near slave labor wages and import to the United States than it is to manufacture goods in this country. (Thanks alot Slick!)

I agree. A lot of our jobs have been exported courtesy of trade agreements and unions have had *nothing* to do with it. Our lovely government has been solely responsible. Just like this beautiful recession we are currently enjoying. http://www.cvtips.com/employment_recession.html
