    East Hill

Hampton Inn (or any other Hilton family hotel).

When I travel on business, I only sleep there. Super comfortable beds and pillows (which is paramount to me) and they have warm chocolate chip cookies at night in the lobby...*yum*

The Hampton's are great. The best beds; and almost all the Hampton's have the same great acommodations in every city they're at.

Hampton Inns, they have a full hot breakfast every morning served in the lobby and very high standards of cleanliness and customer service

Kind of a vague question . . . there are so many considerations and it's so subjective as to what is best.

Determine your needs for amenities, location, price, etc. Try TripAdvisor.com for reviews and recommendations, I've found them to be a great place to start your search.

Personally, if I have to time to do the research, I will not stay in one of the large chain hotels. Smaller "boutique" hotels have more charm, generally better accomodations for the price, and a level of service you won't find in the wide world of radisson/hilton/intercontinental/sheraton cookie cutter hotels.

There are so many factors to consider:

    Location
    Price
    Amenities

Chain hotels in foreign countries are safe bets.

There is a rather nice one in Dubai. It has a tennis court on the rood which doubles as a helipad, and offers the ultimate in luxury.

If you balk at the cost of the airfare to get there for an overnight stay, you probably won't like the price of the rooms.

These are the things that I consider:

    1. Relatively cheap rates

    2. Security

    3. Cleanliness

    4. Located near the tourist attractions in that area

I always do research on either/both "travelocity" and "expedia" before I go on a trip. I weigh the cost vs. the ratings and comments by individuals who have stayed there before.

I like to stay in residence inn and get a suite with two rooms, living room, kitchen and stay for a week. Like a home away from home for a reasonable price

Personally, I love the Hyatt hotel chain. I've stayed there many many times, and I very rarely run into a problem, and when I do, it is always taken care of right away. The staff is always great, and the rooms and atmosphere of the hotel is so nice. I've been to many different Hyatt locations, and they've all been great. Highly recommend it.

That very much depends on your budget and if you want Motels or hotels 3* 4* or 5*

It also depends which Country and City you are visiting.

We always choose a hotel in advance by doing the research on mapquest, lodging or with AAA.

We have a lot of good luck with Marriott and Comfort Inns.
