As long as the sunlight is not the heat of summer, which I do not like, I love a walk on an autumn day..temperature about 60-65...breezy...bright, clear, sunny. I like both being alone and being with someone. If Jim is available, great..if not, I take a walk anyway. But in the heat of summer the only way you can be comfy is to walk at dawn..dusk it's still too hot..and the middle of the day is insane! :) ((hugs))

I like to walk in both (moonlight and sunlight), but since I've moved to Prescott, Arizona I've been doing my walking during the day. There's not too many street lights, at night, where I live and it gets pitch black dark. Too dangerous. I've been walking alone for a long time now. My husband used to go with me a lot, but since we moved to Prescott, his job here makes him work long hours and such. And he gets too tired to go with me. So, I go by myself nowadays.

When we did training exercises in the Marines, we'd move at night, and that involved navigating by map at night, and just walking for miles on end, from base to attack, to base, and things like that. I actually enjoyed it. The occasional pant from the guy in front or behind, the wind and the rain, the tapping on each others shoulders, and if it's not too cloudy, the shine from the moon on the landscape around us. It was all very tranquil until we came into contact with the enemy, when all of a sudden the quietness would erupt into a crescendo of shouts and gunfire.

Got to say all of the above. At night I love just watching the moon and stars, makes you realise how small you are. In the Sun you can see all of the beautiful nature around you, and the warmth of the Sun feels good. Being alone is great for some self reflection, peace and quiet, and some time alone from the hectic life. Sometimes it's nice to share these great moments also.
