No, no one has ever proved that there is life besides us. However no one has proved that there isn't life besides us.

People have found things like bacteria; however, if by life you mean intelligent life, then the answer is no. Some people say that there has to be life out in our vast universe, and that it is arogant to say there isn't, considering all the different star systems. Some people say there is very little chance, and that it would be near impossible to find another planet where all the right components are there to create a lasting inhabital planet. Now, not everyone fits into these two groups, and,of course, not everyone says the same things.

I dont recall the name of the equasion , but I have followed it closely , it says that when one crunches the numbers , chances are more likely than not that there is life out there , Stephen Hawking said in reference to this that we should lie low , we may not like what or who we find.

No. You would have definitely heard about it. That would be a huge breakthrough in science. I remember when they thought they found fossilized bacteria in a fossil from Mars. It was all over the news. It turned out to be a rock formation.
