  • What a wonderful time in your lives. My first question is, are you certain when she ovulated? You can buy ovulation predicator kits which let you know when the most "fertile" times are for conception. If you'd prefer a more natural approach, research Natural Family Planning. They will give you guys great information on how to chart her cycles so that she knows when it is best for conception. Sometimes women think they know when they are ovulating but they are infact off by days. Some assume that if you have a 28 day cycle, you ovulate on the 14th day; a 30 day cycle - the 15th day; a 31 day cycle - the 16th day. Unfortunately, while she may in fact ovulate on those days, there is an equal chance that she doesn't. There are natural signs a woman can look for that let her know she is ovulating and that can help to take a lot of the guess work out of the equation. There is a phenomenal book out there by an author named Toni Weschler called "Taking Charge of your Fertility." I recommend that every woman read it because it really explains how our bodies work, and more specifically how each individual body works. My sister tried to get pregnant for 8 months then she read Toni's book. She charted herself for 2 months and then successfully conceived in the 3rd month. Give it a try - if nothing else it is very educational. Best of Luck.
