I just came from the visitation for an 18-year-old who was killed in a car wreck. What is the best thing to say to the parents and siblings? It's so different losing a child than a parent or another adult family member.

i cant even begin to imagine what words would ever be right to hear your child your baby as been killed, theres no words possible so just say what happened, theres no greater pain than to lose a child.

Nothing more than "I'm sorry for your loss" should sufice. I wouldn't get into a detailed conversation with the family unless they offered. Such a horrible thing to lose a child. My prayers go out to the family.
