The origin of swear words varies, from word to word. The ones I know about are certain 4 letter words such as s--t were considered a lower form of language when a culture clash occured with anglo saxons. The ones considered cuss words now are part of what was considered a lower form of German. Another I know about (for sure) is the origin of the f word which was used by kings centuries ago. The king had to get permission from the church to cheat on his wife (for various reasons) this was labelled Fornication Under Consent of the King or F U C K, sorry it is hard to keep this clean for the young ones

Only a curtain would ask something like that.

just want to say that the F word is NOT an acronym at all. Fornication Under Consent of the King first appeared in Playboy magazine in the 70's and this rumor began. No one really knows where it came from, but it has always been a word used to describe the act of fornication.

the answer is! RELIGION. 7 words of sin.. used to be 11.. cant be said on public tv network. cunt cocksucker mother-fucker fuck twat slut shit (i think thats right) some dickhead catholic minister has alot of money and knows people or owns shit up in the tv networks.. it comes down to control.. kids that swear alot and are influenced by that material are less likely to become religious and more rebelious - thus less money. but also causes people who think swearing 'is a bad thing' to conform to sociological views (which they dont really know shit about.. just following it cus 'they think its right') - its a good way for 'the man' to pick out the 'good workers' from the 'bad' because they use a more 'complex' word instead of fuck. well the complexity of fuck surely outweighs a great deal of words in my opinion.
