  • Either that, ir give it up for adoption. I'm not sure which, it would probably depend on the circumstances -- I've never had to make that choice, fortunately.
  • I'm so glad my husband's biological mother didn't. He was adopted as a newborn and she was only 16 when she gave birth. My best friend is currently in the adoption process as well. As many people who actually WANT babies out there, I would strongly advise people to look up alternatives to abortion before going straight to the clinic. It's their choice in the end, but what a fantastic, humanitarian act to give a baby to a family who desperately wants one.
  • No way. "Baby, I can't afford to pay for you, so I'll kill you off instead." Not a chance. I'd give the baby up for adoption if I really couldn't keep it. And I'd try to find someone I knew who could adopt, so I could know the child even if not be with them.
  • An abortion would be less expensive than the medical bills to have the child even if you are planning on giving it up for adoption. So if it was purely finances yes.
  • Which is why I am pro-choice -- choose adoption. Baby born, gets life, and you incur no medical expenses. Problem solved.
  • I don't believe in abortion. It's murder. I raised my first child on welfare and then decided that I was doing him harm by doing that so I gave him up for adoption. He now has an awesome life.. a stable, financial future with parents who love him OFF welfare. So, if I were faced with that again, I would give another child up for adoption.. no way would i kill a baby that never asked to be born. an innocent victim in it all. There are too many women who would love to adopt a baby and there are not enough babies because of abortion and it's sad. babies that die and could have grown up to be the next President or a MD and find a cure for a disease like HIV. but we will never know.
  • I do not think abortion should be considered as an option unless the pregnancy came about as a consequence of a rape. This would mean that the pregnancy is unwanted one. If it is possible, the option would be to give the baby to a childless couple for adoption after going the full term of pregnancy.
  • yes i would, if it was under three months, i think if it has no heart beat and i cant give it a home then honestly yes. some think its wrong, but its not up to anyone but you.
  • If you can't afford to look after a child, there are many people who CAN. I would put it up for adoption. I would NEVER use abortion. I believe it is wrong, but especially in this sort of case. THe mother's life is not in danger. It is just that the pregnancy is inconvenient.
  • i would not have an abortion, i would give it up for adoption. You have to weigh all the options though. Are you inlove with the father of the baby? Are you willing to keep in contact with him and receive money from him? If you despise the man and are regretful of doing "the act" with him and if you arent sure or know that you are not ready for a baby in your life you should give him or her to someone that is.
  • No i wouldn't. I would keep the baby and find a way to provide for it :)
  • Nope. My mom's already said that if I do happen to accidentally get pregnant and can't afford to take care of the baby, she'll def help me out.
  • It's your decision. I would, but only you can really make that decision.
  • Wouldn't giving the baby up for adoption once it's born be a better option?
  • If I couldn't afford a baby and all the contractive I were using managed to fail and I became pregnant then yes I would probably have an abortion. I would not wish to go through nine months of pregnancy and having a baby to give away to people I don't know, to much chance of them being abused. But if you are using several different kinds of contraception then this should be a very rare case.
  • I'd find some way to take care of it, and there are government programs, say if you're a single mother, that can help.
  • I'd only be thinking of the child if I did choose to have an abortion. The world is over populated, so parents wishing to adopt have plenty of choices. I would not want a child, that has come from my loins to live a life in foster care, or be adopted by terrible parents. If I am going to have it, I am going to raise it right. I know too many people who's lives have been ruined because their parents had them and gave them away. My unborn child would appreciate that I spared them from that.
  • Yep I sure would. The only way I wouldn't is if one particular cousin of mine wanted to have a baby. She's in her 40's but her and her husband couldn't conceive. I know it sounds really weird but she didn't want to adopt because it wouldn't be "hers". In a sense, a baby from me would still be family thus I wouldn't feel weird offering her the chance to adopt it. Only then would I bring it to term - IF I didn't want a baby at that point in time. I'm contemplating asking my fiance if he'd like to have a child sometime in the future, but I know we're not ready for one right now. Thank goodness for birth control!
  • no, adoption... there are literally millions of couples who would love your child
  • Hell to the na!! The only way I would have an abortion is if my LIFE depended on it...and that's only because I have been blessed with one angel already and she needs me here....again...HELL TO THE NA!!!!!!!!! Me and the new baby will just have to struggle until we can make it through!
  • No, abortion is murder! Murder is taking a life, life is having a heart beat, unborn children have a heart beat at 4wks of conception and most women don't even know that they are pregnante till about 6 week after conception. If you spread your legs then you should rep then benifits of it, good and bad. I was Adopted when I was 4 and thank God everyday that I was not aborted. I know we all have different opinions and I respect all opinions but you have to think about it, what if you mother aborted you, then you would not be here, same for all unborn children. I think abortion should only be available for rape victiums (rape victiums that seek medical attention soon after it happens) and women with medical problems. Which personally I could not do it still with either situation. Life is a PRECIOUS thing to waste.
  • I can't afford the one I have now, but God always provides. Some how we make it through each month. And she is worth more than all the riches there are.
  • nope, I'd be rich because science would want to study me
  • No I would make a ton of money by giving it up for adoption. However I could never do that either. If everyone waited until they could afford to have a child nobody one ever have one.
  • Finances should NEVER be a factor when deciding whether or not to bring a child into the world...
  • No I would give it up for adoption but first I would try my best to raise the baby with my families help.
  • Of course not. Here's one from experience. No matter how much you have, providing for a kid always costs 10 bucks more.
  • No. I'd get help.
  • thats alot to think about there. do you want to keep the baby? do you want to find he/she a better life with someone who can maybe afford it? or get on welfare they should help ya out!! i hope this is useful!!
  • Absolutely NOT!!!!!! I would beg, borrow or steal, to provide for my child.
  • No..there are soooooooooo many people out there on a waiting list to adopt babies. :)
  • Absolutely not! I would do whatever i had to to keep the child! And for those of you who couldn't do whatever it takes, there is ALWAYS adoption! No need to kill an innocent life!
  • no. thank god i've got family that would either A help me afford to keep it or B raise it with me until i could do it alone
  • Yes i would.
  • Abortion is not the only option. There are lots of couples who cannot have children who would love to have that child. I have had an abortion, and I have never regretted anything more in my life.
  • No, I'd ring the papers and make a fortune.
  • god no, my best friend had one and i saw how difficult it was. personally i think you should only have an abortion if you honestly feel you have no other choice and your 100% sure. something like that can destroy your life so think carefully. good luck :)
  • I would give my baby up for adoption but I would hope I could find a way to cut expenses or make more money so I could keep my baby.
  • I would. If I couldn't properly take care of a child, why would I keep it? When I am ready for kids, financially, physically... Well, when I'm damn ready, I'll have kids. Some people in that situation would decide to give birth, and then give it up for adoption. I, for one, would not. I've heard too much about child abuse and neglect with some adoptive parents. I wouldn't want to give my baby up wondering "What if?". Besides, if I give birth, the baby is mine, and I'm keeping it!
  • Talk to adoption agencies they will cover the cost of birth for you that is why is is so expensive to adopt a baby
  • Come and live in canada..over here the more kids you have the more money you get here you dont have to worry about not being able to afford your baby, your doctor is paid for your labour is paid for everything...instead of giving up the baby come here lol:)
  • hello.no id carry it full term, then id give it up for adoption. i really dont approve of abortion.
  • Yes....yes I would
  • No way. Not for any reason.
  • babies are expensive, they can have handmedown, they dont care - they want someone there to look after them and thats all they want - is love. Im not sure if this site is uk based or usa based. As in the UK (and maybe other places) you can get help with a child, and child benefits, and you dont pay for the birth it all goes under the NHS. So babbies aint expesive in that way. But anyway, back to the question. A few weeks ago I wouldnt of cared abortion or not. Their chocie, but not im anti-abortion. SO adoption would be the answer.
  • Im pregnant cant afford it but u manage, u do for ur unborn child i bet the feelings u have right now are s**t im pregnant , wow erm uncontrollable smiles, erm damn money situation panick, dont even worry im sure u'll hav plently of support from people if not the social
