Yes! I hear that some enterprising parents contact the manufacturers of baby items to ask for multiples discounts, though. In many cases they do receive a discount, but I am unfamilar with how much of one.

If you exclude the cost of your sanity, it's probably less than three times as expensive. You can buy more things in bulk.

Possibly not three times as expensive, but the stress on the parents would be 10 times that of one child.

I would say that, considering all expenses including prenatal care and birth, having triplets is more than three times more expensive. It isn't just a case of needing three of everything or three times the diapers and food. Multiple pregnancies are extremely high risk requireing more and more specialized prenatal care. Also, the majority of triplets are born prematurely often requiring stays of several weeks in the neonatal ICU. All of this adds up to being Very expensive.
