  • There could be many reasons, So many reasons without knowing why you are affected in this way! Perhaps you are conditioned to wake up for school each day when you went there for 10 or more years. Perhaps you were awaken one night when something terrifying happened one night! Try, re-conditioning your brain. After going to bed, say to yourself, I am not going to wake up before eg; 7am, unless an emergency forces me to wake before 7am. I am going to sleep like a baby tonight till eg; 7am unless an emergency forces me to wake before. After a few days of doing this, you should find that staying asleep will no longer be a prob! Try it for a few days, else try a hypnotherapist and all should be good in a few days too.
  • I have found that even on my days off, I wake up at 4 am anyhow, tonight earlier, for I am taking care of a family member just out of back surgery. I know in school, I never needed an alarm, so I guess it depends on what time life has you getting up, and you just get used to it. I do envy those, who can sleep in on thier days off. :)~
  • it is just because you are probably used to waking up at that time, so you just do it normally...im the SAME EXACT way!lol i wake up at 6 whenever...even though i went to sleep at 1:30 am yesterday!
  • Many reasons, but it might have to do with the biological clock. If you sleep a certain pattern for a long time, and start changing when you go to bed, your body is used to waking up at a certain time, and the effects of waking up at that certain time can last a good while.
  • Maybe you'r mind is ''programed'' to, coz you'r used to it. It's most denently 'phsycological'. (p.s: i don't know for sure)
  • Your thyroid gland [[I think, or some other gland]] has a 'clock' built inside of you. If you start waking up at a certain time every morning, your body will get used to use it and start waking up around that time every day. Nomatter how late you stay up.
  • It's wierd. whenever I go to sleep earlier, I stay asleep longer, even if it is a weekend. If I go to sleep later, I wake up earlier.
  • Perhaps it is habit. I have a friend who was a schoolteacher for 30 years. She retired, but still gets up at the latest 8 p.m. Also, do you have trouble relaxing in general? If you do, start a general relaxation and maybe your sleep patterns will change.
  • i know this is so not obvious, well maybe it is... an alarm clock?
  • That happens to me too, but only on weekdays when I have school. And my brain knows that I need to get up, so I get up. Whereas, on the weekends when I have no school, my brain's alarm clock turns off and I happen to stay in bed later.
  • You have a Swiss made bio-clock! You're lucky and healthy.
  • Your subconscious mind "knows" more than "you" do.
