  • It's kind of bad, and not very healthy. If you save the ice cream, and only have it as a once in ahile treat, it will taste all the better that way.

  • Limit your portions, don't restrict how often you have it. (My husband has this same problem with ice cream. Granted, he never gains weight, but he hasn't checked his cholesterol for a while... Anyways, he started having just a couple bites of ice cream dished out into a *SMALL* pretty bowl each night. He never felt deprived.)

You should try eating a tiny piece of good dark chocolate if you have a craving for chocolate or try eating frozen yogurt or sorbet instead. They make many things fat free these days. I found a delicious recipe for fat-free brownies that taste better than "normal" brownies.
  • Eating late at night is pretty bad for your system. It keeps your pancreas working instead of resting and may be one reason why some people become diabetic later in life. Plus there is no way for your body to use that glut of sugar, fat and carbs you just added and you'll just go to sleep.
