should be. so long as you both are monagamus. always take precautions. you shouldn't get pregnant but the pill does nothing for std's. i'm sure you'll be fine, just always be careful. and i'm sure he's a wonderful boyfriend, didn't mean to be offensive in any way.

It is safe as far as having a baby is concerned, but I would still use a condom, for sexually transmitted diseases. Just so you know, one of my children was a pill baby, so I guess I fell in that 1% or so of those who still get pregnant, so another reason to still use a condom. Have fun!

The drug companies recommend at least one month. Try to take the pill at the same time each day for maximum effectiveness. Also, depending on your histories and how long you've been together, I would recommend you both get tested before consenting to sex without a condom. If he loves you he should be willing to be tested.

Some STDs are caught and further transmitted when a person is without symptoms. A friend caught genital warts from a college relationship that now affect her marriage and pregnancy. Be careful.

to be safe i would always use a condom, the pill may protect you from pregnancy but does not protect you from std's. he may be a really nice boyfriend but may have stds that you dont know about. a lot of ppl have stds for ages without even knowing it! BE SAFE AND USE A CONDOM!! you wont have any worries that way! good luck!

Only if you are sure that everyone he has had sex with before you were free of disease. HIV,gental herpes, gental warts, syphilis and other sexualy transmited diseases can be passed from person to person without anyone knowing they even have a disease, then there are those who never develope the disease themselves but pass it on to anyone they have sex with...latex condoms MAY protect you from pregancy and disease...but the only way to be 100% sure is to not have sex until you are ready to take on the responcability of aising a child.
