They erroneously think they can improve them. They have an ideal man in mind and they want the man to meet that ideal. That is not possible. Men can't change all that much, neither can women.

For the same reason men try to change women..... human nature. We are attracted to someone who is different in many ways from ourselves...then spend the next 10 years trying to make them a clone of ourselves. Then we go for marriage counselling whining that we have grown apart......

Women marry men expecting they'll change, but they don't. Men marry women expecting they won't change, but they do. Crazy huh?

For the same reason men try to change women...convenience. You have a boyfriend..you think he spends too much time with his pals/sports and it bugs you. So you try to wean him away from that because it is inconvenient for you. A guy has a gal about whom he is very possessive..he was attracted to her great personality, her friendliness..now that she "belongs" to him he tries to wean her away from her friends and family because he wants her all to himself. And so it goes....:(

Not everyone do that. I am a person who believes if a person isnt willing to change nothing will make him or her change. I dont want to be changed so why would i put my man through the "You have to change" arguement? I loved him, i choose him, so i have to accept him as he is.
