Lagom is said to describe the basis of the Swedish national psyche, one of consensus and equality.
The amount of something that just feels right. There is no equivalent in English.
Lagom is derived fram lag (law), which is of old Scandinavian origin and related to ligga (lay). The original meaning is to lay down in order and balance. The words law and lay originate from the same root as lagom. The meaning of the word "lagom" today is to be not too much and not too little.
It means "just enough"
