    Fingernail clippers were invented in 1793 by Clippers OcOnally, they were first used to pull teeth, scrape protruding moles and popping boils.

    The invention of nail clippers has been attributed to Chapel Carter in 1896.
    Before then, nail scissors and nail files were used.
    Or you could bite your nails!
