Question

Help answer this question below.

Why would a person as young as me feel so relaxed, content, wise, and vaguely old all the time? Are'nt teenagers supposed to be abnoxious, naive, loudmouthed fools?

I feel you. I really think that sometimes I'm a 60-year-old man stuck inside a 17-year-old body. Especially when I'm sipping Irish Breakfast Tea and reading a book with a wool blanket over my legs and slippers on.

Sometimes I get all worked up about something like needles or doctors, but for the most part I don't really worry. I think that some people are just a lot calmer and wiser than others. I can't pretend to be wise, but I am not that loudmouthed.

I wouldn't worry (not that you would) about your "condition". Call it a blessing.

A lot of us are. However, you seem to be dealing with this stage quite easily. My advice is to keep doing what you're doing and don't overanalyze.

At last I have found an individual of my age group, that seems to be wise beyond there years, and mature past common stereotype, as you commented. I too, have realized that the lifestyle and preferences in which our generation admonish and abide by, simply have never interested me i any way. I often find myself reading, mostly writing my own works, which of them there are 43, and unlike most teenagers, I have such a desire to pocket as much knowledge as I possibly can retain, which already I have a substantial amount, my peers believe me to be a walking history chanel and a dictionary! However, this is not a strange, uncommon state my friend, for there are may like us, and, although you have not lowered your self to be that obnoxious, naive, loudmouth fool, you still must keep staunchly in mind that, despite our young age, we have wisdom that requires years and years of existance to aquire, yet have been attained, in our adolescence.
For now, enjoy the calm, relaxed lifestyle you have been gifted, and know there are many like you, I am one of them.

I can remember being a teenager and thinking I was wise... if I could go back in time I would give myself a "okay, here's the way things REALLY are..." speech.

I can relate, I feel much, much older than I really am. I hate being loud just for the sake of being loud, and I strive to learn as much as I can all the time. I never want to be naive or ignorant about anything, if that's at all possible.
