I know it's stressful that your husband lost his job, but don't get short/nasty with me because of it. I wish people would keep issues at home. Is anyone else getting tired of dealing with other people's personal issues at work.

    "Commisserating" with other people is a natural human thing. You don't have to be part of it, but you could at least tolerate it.
    There is a time and place for everything, and if it really bothers you, tell them you need to get something done and excuse yourself.
    Wear earplugs maybe.
    Just remember, if you portray this attitude, who will want to listen to you?
    That's what friends do, after all.
