Nope.

I used to get that much money a year, and no I couldn't.
-
If you're talking tax free? Probably not. $6,000 is what an apartment for $500/month would cost you in a year.
-
Nope. Rent alone would require more than that.
-
Not in Southern California I couldn't. Maybe if I moved back in with my Mom.....But I might kill myself if I did that. So, no.
-
Maybe if I lived in a cardboard box in the park.
-
No I could not live like a pauper not with mortgage payments.
-
No sorry... I cant live on my own and I make way more than that!!!
-
No. That would be impossible where I live. Even unemployment is about $24K yearly.

Probably, if I went into the woods and built a cabin, lived on what I could fish and hunt and grow in a garden, then can and smoke for the winter. No electric and no gas. My great grandparents did that on much less than $6,000 a year. I could do it...if I had to. Hell, I might even get to like it. I am strange that way...

As a former military survival instructor, I probably could find a way to get by on that, but I would really rather not try ... here in Montreal, even welfare is more than that at about $580.00 per month ... I am already below the poverty line with an income of a little more than double that (around $15,000.00) from just my self defense business, and then my software sales, which are usually fairly low, have always kept me under $30,000.00 and financially struggling.
