I would see the great Great Smoky Mountains National Park. If you don't want to see touristy things, avoid Ripley's or Dollywood and much of Gatlinburg is touristy.

You must go for a drive around the Cades Cove area. It's gorgeous, especially in the fall, and you can see lots of wildlife, including deer and bears.
My answer is what i do, i go shooping and take a walk in the park (Smoky Mtns. National Park) before i get some good food at a local restaurant. Gatlinburg is fun for me when i plan it out. Every time i go i do the same thing lol.
Who here knows where McEwen, TN is?
