    I've never heard that before, but I like it. My favorite regarding proms is from Dorothy Parker-- "If all the girls at the Harvard prom were laid end to end, I wouldn't be surprised."

    Yes. It means a girl was ready and willing for sex comparing her to a young teen's desire to rip off her Prom dress signaling her desire to lose her virginity at the prom. True meaning.
