  • My opinion is yes, it's psychological. When you clean out the clutter and, even moreso clean off the dirt and shine the interior up, there is less ambient noise from rattling garbage in the interior, and you suddenly notice the angles, shapes, high tech polymers and integrated parts of the interior more. You notice its 'carness', so to speak.
  • I think that for the most part if a person neglects the interior, then he most likely neglects the engine and other things that make a car run well.
  • I think it does. I feel that cleaning gets rid of bad vibes that can accumulate and that even inanimate objects have a spirit so to speak. So, your car is pleased to be cared for and pampered and will help you, too, in return.
  • It has to be psychological. I'm really bad when it comes to taking care of my car's technical stuff.. But after every cleaning, it seems to ride smoother... It might also be cuz I don't have junk in the car making phantom noises that make me think the car is about to fall apart.
  • i dont think its psychological in my sistuation i work out in the dirt so after a few weeks of driving it around job sites my car will acumulate mud and dirt allmost a foot thick along most of the under carriage all that dirt adds weight witch hurts the handelng and performans of my ride i just call it like i see it
