  • My problem with the relationship between the 1st world and the 3rd world is that 1st world countries exploit the natural resources of the third world and THEN don't share the profits with the people who actually live there. Whether it's sweatshop labor, oil, diamonds, or lumber, exploitation of the 3rd world is wrong no matter how much more comfortable it makes our lives in the first world. I suppose you could say it's not as bad as it was in previous centuries, when countries like England both ruled over and stripped bare the riches of their colonies, but the effects of those days still linger today in the irrational borders that were left behind to create warfare to this day. It isn't that we're withholding our wealth from the poor third-worlders, it's that we've robbed them blind for it, and it's shameful.
  • Why should we help 3th world countries what are they going to do to us? Look at Iraq...we try to help and are hated for it we should just MIND OUR OWN BUSINESS!
