It varies by company. I have worked for companies who had Sunday-Saturday weeks and Monday-Sunday weeks, and my boyfriend works on a Saturday-Friday week. Just ask the HR/payroll manager at your company.

The employer determines the time period. My company starts the week on Sunday. I work every other Sunday.
