  • Thats because Catholics arent saved. You guys spend too much energy on a human mother and not enough on her child or his father. Catholicism is less about accepting Christ and more about ritualism in a hierarchal church. Its less a spiritual pursuit and more a calculated, ritualistic mysticism. You guys breed pedophile priests and were responsible for the Crusades. Catholics "go through the motions", and have many established rituals... specifically because your heart isnt in it. And you guys refuse to abandon the church for the more abstract and spiritual Protestant perspective. Youre stuck in a firm framework, materialistic. ==== And if you are afraid to hear peoples opinions when you ask a question, then dont ask it. Thanks for the down point for an "offensive answer". Truth hurts, you know. You will never resolve your predicament if you dont want to see the truth. Drop your preconceptions and bigotries and allow yourself to see it like it is, thats the only way you will grow.
  • If I had to guess it, and I don't really have that authority since your salvation lies with God, is that it has either happened and you didn't realize it, or it hasn't happened in the same "profound" way that others have experienced it. There are more than 4 billion people on earth that follow the major religions (religions of the book) and there aren't that many stories where someone has that one moment. Maybe you won't have one, maybe you will in the future, and maybe it's already happened and you didn't realize it. I think you should put your faith in God and when the time is right, you will know it.
  • I am Catholic also and asked this same question many times ( but not here). I am amazed , like you, at all the experiences *the others* have had and think to myself that I must be missing something. Am I saved? Will I go to heaven? WE, as Catholics, believe that Jesus died for our sins and without Him we can't enter heaven. So I guess I will see *the others* there too.
