I like to see the sunrise. I really enjoy waking up early on occasion and sitting outside alone, sipping a hot cup of Irish Breakfast tea, and watching the sunrise. I think they are both equally beautiful, but the environment in the morning - peace, quite, refreshing, and clear - makes it all the more enjoyable.
-
I like both, and I have experienced both in the same day. It was a so peaceful. When the sun comes up, I feel like it's saying, "Good Morning to me." I feel like I'm floating when I see the sun waking up. I like the sunset, because I saw it in Hawaii and Flordia and it went into the ocean. I just seemed the sun dropped into the ocean and went in for it's sleep.
-
Sunrise, because the day is just beginning!
-
sunset because I don't have to wake up as early to enjoy it (I have three children 3 and under, sleep is VERY important).
-
Sunset because the day is coming to a close, and all the boring things are over. And, I honestly can't say that i've seen more than 2 or 3 sunrises in my life - i mean i sometimes sleep right through sunset aswell lol.
-
i like sunset because it seems like they are much prettier and last longer. Also it gets cold right before the sun comes up so i would rather stay warm and watch a sunset
-
Sunrise. Because I work graveyard shifts and I'm on my way home as the sun peeks over the horizon.
-
sunset, because it is so pretty to watch the sun go down.
-
Sunset. Nothing like a romantic ending to a day.
-
A date that includes both.
-
Cats in the cradle and a silver spoon. yes we have no, bananas. Yep, I watch too much TV. I like both. I see both all the time because I can't get a sleep pattern. However all in all, I would say sunrise
-
Sunrise. I've become sort of nocturnal lately, I would like to see one again, I miss them. A sunrise feels more important then a sunset, I have to go out of my way to make it in time for a sunrise and that makes watching one so much more special.
-
Sunsets... Like right now... the sun is rising... I'm going to bed.
-
Sunrise. I am morning person, love to see sunlight on the plants, beginning of the day with chirping of the birds, cup of tea and enjoy the silence of the day break.
-
Sunset...I can sleep in and still see it.
-
A sunrise, because it is the start of a fresh new day where I can make myself better!
-
sunset totally because its beautiful when there is pink and red in the sky and i think that it brings the most in me.
-
I would choose a sunset, sunrises are too early... I don't want to have to wake up at 5am when I'm on holiday! Also, you can enjoy a sunset with a cocktail in your hand, but you can't do the same with a sunrise without having some serious alcohol issues.
-
Sunrise at the top of Haleakala on Maui. An amazing sight, watching the colours change and the clouds roll down into the crater.
-
They are both pretty, but I like the night better so I'll say sunsets.
-
I really love sunrises, especially when the moon is still out. (Sunsets are definitely better for cuddling though.)
-
They each are equally lovely - one showing us the start to a new beginning and a new day, and the other showing us the end to a day where we have worked and played hard, and have the sunrise to anticipate seeing again in a few hours.
-
sunsets
-
Sunrises, because sunsets always leave me feeling i could have done more that day.
-
Sunrise.
-
Sunsets it's the end of the day any you get to unwind and relax. When the sunrises it means I have to start getting ready for class : (
-
50 - 50 I love a great sunset but do so enjoy a beautiful morning sunrise ... either one I am both happy and grateful to see.
-
Sunsets, I think they're absolutely beautiful. I especially love it when the clouds on the horizon turn that yellowish/orangish/reddish, I could stare at that all day. The sunrise doesn't really look that beautiful to me, it is, but it doesn't catch my eye as much as a sunset.
-
Sunset....especially sitting on Kuta Beach in Bali in 1975/6. The sun in the tropics, is like a giant ball, perched above the horizon, then it just falls into the sea, where it becomes the most magnificent mix of reds, oranges and yellow, staining the ocean along the horizon for miles...you never forget something as beautiful as that.
-
glad to see another one of either.
-
sunrise cuz im a morning person. sunset cuz then you can attack under the cover of darkness
-
I'm a morning person so I like Sunrises, no better way to start your day then sippin some coffee and watching the sunrise

I like sunsets, as I am rarely up in time for the sunrises! I like my sleep....
-
Sunsets, in my experience, usually prove to be more vividly colorful.
-
I'm way more of a night-person I gotta go with sunsets. If however I had some stress-free time off and found myself up and self-motivated(as apposed to rushing to work) I'd have to say that sunrises can be very peaceful, assuring, and beautiful!
-
SUNSET. i am never up to see a sunrise.... i saw a pink sunset it was beautiful

-
Sunset over the Ocean.
-
Sunset. Can't beat it. Especially on a beach!
-
Sunrise, to me it usually means the end of a productive all-nighter.
-
Sunrise. There's something very beautiful about watching the light slowly emerge and tinge the dark with colour. It reminds me of birth, whereas sunset is the opposite - reminds me of death - that all good things come to an end. Wow, that was deep :)
-
Sunset .. I love the way day gives way to night.
-
sunset sometimes it can be a beautiful pink or red or orange or just plain yellow and gold... gorgeous as it slowly casts a shadow through palm trees

-
sunset. more of a night person.
-
I love both Sunrise the beauty of a new day arriving Sunset the gloaming as the sundrops over the horizon
-
The light is so special at sunset. It's not just the direction you are facing or where the ocean is but the quality of the light. THe deep oranges and reds and golds. If it's colorful in the morning, it's mostly soft pinks and purples AND it means it's going to rain!
-
Sunrise because I see it so rarely.
-
Sunsets. (Particularly on Prince Edward Island, Canada, where I took these pictures.) I also Like Moonrise.
-
Sunset....it is beautiful, especially here in the desert. It also means that most of my work is done for the day so I'm more likely to relax and enjoy it.
-
The sunset..I am not a morning person.
-
I like the sunrise better myself. It seems I am always up to see it. And, the sun seems bigger then.
-
Sunset, with its amazing array of colors.
-
They are both beautiful. The sunrise is all soft and pastel while the sunset is all flashy and vibrant. I see more sunsets but I still love the sunrise. Especially when in a beautiful location like on vacation in the mountains. You can't beat the sunset over the Atchafalaya Swamp. That's a sight to behold.
-
I live in the pacific can say I have ever seen a real sunrise.. but plenty of sunsets
-
I like Sunsets better. I never get up in time to see the Sunrise any way. Sunrise is pretty dull, as it's just darkness coming to light. But Sunsets can have amazing affects on the sky. I hear a red sky at night has been know to delight many a sailor.
-
Sunsets, I have seen so many incredible light shows at dusk.
-
Sunrise and the birds chirping waiting for me to feed them. So quite, no one around...lovely.
-
Gosh, I love both. I am not a morning person, but when I do get up early, that's my favorite part about morning.
-
Sunset----Sunrise is me spent in the bed drooling on my pillow.
-
Sunset, especially in the tropics. The days are much the same length all year long, so you can pretty well time when sunset is. I remember the first time I saw sunset at the famous Kuta Beach in Bali. It faces due west, so you get a great view. The sun just literally drops from the sky into the ocean, and then the sea becomes lit up. It is absolutely magnificent.
-
I like both. I have yet to see any two that are exactly alike.
-
Sunset here in southern California. Just as the the last of the sun dips below the horizon, over the ocean, there's a green flash. Magic!
-
Sunset makes me feel peaceful, Sunrise makes me feel invigorated. So which of those feelings do I prefer? It really depends on what's going on in my life. It seems that when I'm down, I need a sunrise. If things have gone well, a sunset is excellent. I think they're all beautiful!
-
sunsets. sunrises make me sad because they are the end of night. ends of things make me sad, no matter whether they are good or bad. i try to hold on to things as much as i can. the changing of night into day and day into night is something i can't do anything about. for some reason i love the night a lot more than i love the day. it is peaceful, quiet most of the time, and it takes you away from all the pain of the daytime. night also has pain, and for many people it comes out a lot more at night, but for me night softens it making it more bearable. that is why i don't like sunrises. they mean the end of night.
-
the sunset
-
I love sunsets, at the beach. <sigh>
-
Sunset...the burnt orange sky....i love it...
-
They both hold a great weight with me in regards to my appreciation of the sun.
-
Sunset it just is nicer when the lights turn down low and the starts come out to play.
-
Both can be equally beautiful,so, I have to say, it's a tie.
-
It really all depends on how you look at it. If you are thinking Romantic type of thing, like if you are with someone looking at it, i would say Sunrises, because you are sacrificing your time, where you would be sleeping to be with the person. If it is a sunset and still on the romantic topic, it gives the perfect time for some Lovemaking....... If it is just a general question, i prefer Sunsets.....
-
Sunsets - for the practical reason that most people have more time to enjoy them. At sunrise most of us are hustling to get ready for the day, with our head full of what has to be done. At sunset we've DONE it. Maybe we love a beautiful sunset partly because we can feel we deserve it after a day's work.
-
both cause its just one thing that makes it.. the sun.. its the same scene, and the only thing that makes it different is the time.
-
Sunsets and to prove it look at my avatar taken from near my house.
-
Where I live it's sunrises because they're over water. Ever seen the green flash? It's really cool.
-
Sunrises have more variety although I love both.
-
I love having dinner outside by the water at sunset!
-
Always the sunrise so I can seize the day!
-
it all looks the same to me, just in different places
-
Sunrises, I just love to see the start of a new day begin.
-
I like both equally but I am not usually up for the sunrises.
-
Sunrises...there is nothing like early morning when the dew is on the ground and the birds are singing and everything smells fresh. I love eunrises and early mornngs!
-
Sunsets; a romantic end to a night, a nice one. a sunrise can still lead to crap.
-
Sunsets. It's just beginning to get cool, and I like the dark.
-
Sunrises. I live on the windward (east) side of the island, so the mountains block most of the sunsets. The sun peeking over the rim of the Pacific is spine tingling. Confession: I rarely see it. *snore* ;-)
-
Sunrise
-
Sunsets, whats a sunrise?
-
I normally don't wake up early enough to see a sunrise... I think a sunset is beautiful because all the morning fog has already been burned off and it's amazing to see the giant sun slip below the horizon.
-
Ironically, I prefer sunrises but I hate the morning.
-
I prefer sunset, to be honest.
-
sunset.
-
sunset is more beautyful, however I look foreward to sunries more than sunset, it brings a new day of hope for me, and it shows I have another day to live. It could be the "tomorrow" I have been searching for.
-
I guess it would depend on the direction one is looking at the time.Sunset looks best facing the west and sunrise looks best facing the east.
-
sunrises are nice and peaceful ... sunsets are beautiful and romantic. they're both nice.
