  • contact panasonic customer service - this is one of the models under a recall for light engine failures. you will need the full model number, S/N and date of purchase - 90% are getting the warr extended and some are being replaced outright this problem is showing up on many different brands but panasonic is one of the few that will stand behind the set after the sale - good company
  • I bought mine in November 2005....clearly out of Warranty AND extended warranty... but Panasonic came to the plate! They chose to fix my "color splotches" problem at their cost! As it turned out, the 'FIX' was a relatively simple re-programming of an eprom (whatever that is)... but it could have cost me hundreds for the service call, evaluation, estimate & FIX if they had not stepped up and accepted responsibility for the problem. Great Company, Great Policy, Great Service... AND I will definitely choose Panasonic for my Next HDTV. Tom R.
