Let's see ...

ebay: several years back, I was "ebay'ing" all the time. I used it a lot to find strange and wondrous things to add to my collections. Much better odds of finding something there than in one or two local shops! However, have to be careful about condition, etc. But have to say my experiences (LOTS of them) were 98% positive). Finally said "ok .. stop this for awhile" and put that all aside. Got some "practical stuff" there too .. and gifts .. and well .. "stuff". The two big things are to know "going rate" of things and to bid wisely (ie not get into "auction fever" and speng way too much)

Amazon: yes, over several years. Haven't really used all their many depts for goods. I've used it strictly for paperback books (for me or gifts for others) thus far - or gifts cards. I've started using more of the "site features" over the last couple of years. I love being able to TAG books there for example! :)

Comment on both? I'd been thinking about it being time to get back into ebay .. and here came your question today. Must be fate! lol (or more likely .. I just want to go check out ebay. Been quite awhile now) :)

- Thanks, Logybren. :) FYI, I've decided I "am" going to check out ebay again. Have a bunch of things I need to get done this week, so believer that I am in setting up "rewards"? If I can do what needs doing ... and regular stuff as well .. then next weekend? I'm going to go revisit ebay and see how its changed and what trouble I can get myself into! lol I've heard I might even be able to find some sellers with things that can move my family history along .. ie .. some city directories, year books, local history, etc. So cross your fingers! (sorry .. you came back to do a nice thing and I start talking!!! er .. I'm heading on my way now) :)

Never shopped on ebay. Only once did I do anything on Amazon..that was by request of my son a few years ago. I set up a credit for him as a Christmas gift so he could buy whatever books he wanted. But I don't like providing my credit card information to cyberspace, so I don't do that. I also don't bank online. I know, I cling to the past! :) ((hugs)) Happy Saturday! :)

used to buy and sell on ebay but I have gotten screwed too many times so I don't that anymore. Still do amazon once in a great while but shipping is too expensive I don't do much online shopping

- I've never sold at ebay but so far my experience with buying has been great. Someone else mentioned the tax at amazon...I haven't bought a whole lot from there...so I'll have to pay more attention.

Amazon.ca all the time. Ebay never.
For shoes I like Zappos.ca as I have hard to fit feet.

I used to shop fairly often on Amazon, but haven't in ages. I do still shop every so often on eBay, though.
