Help answer this question below.
It is only 99.99% effective, so there is that very small chance. But unlike the pill, you don't have to do anything to maintain your protection, I would have to say it would be very unlikley.
I have yet to hear of any birth control method that is 100% except abstinence or a hysterectomy. Even "sterilization" is not 100%. ++++
It is possible for that method to fail, just as any other method. There is some question about what the 99% means, would it fail 1% of the time, or would it fail all the time for 1% of the people who use it.
I'm not sure which one it is for the implant.
i have the implant in my arm and i have been on my period none stop since i had it, this is going bk nearly 3 years now, im due to get it out in january. so if you get the implant and you have a period every day i advise you dont get it
i have had the implant in for nearly two years, mine only lasts for 2 years so i am due to get it taken out very soon..... when i first had it put in imy periods stopped and i did get a couple of side effects... nothing changed until a couple of weeks ago !! i have had 2 periods one lasted for a whole week.....
im not quiet sure weva its because its due to be taken out but im also feeling very tired and i have been feeling sick, and having very bad headaches and back pains.
i have taken one pregnancy test and it come out negative but it wasnt good enough to put my mind at rest so i have an appointment to see my GP next week..
what do you think ???
pregnant or not pregnant ?????
see ive got an implant and havent been on in the past 6/7 month, but even s the chance are 1 in 1000 with the implant so i would go get tested as i am monday morning its will you put you at ease.
i want to know something i have the implant too but i have a period for 3 weeks then it stops for a month then the same again.my friend had the implant too and she done pregnancy test and it came back that she wasnt but really she was because the implant releases hormones these hormones are saying your not pregnant when actually she was because these hormones arnt your natural ones,so just be careful x
It's 99% effective so i doubt very much you can get pregnant with an implant in your arm.
My advise to the implant is don't trust it, i also have the implant and have been experiencing side affects so i went to the doctors who told me to do a pregnancy test and guest what i'm pregnant, so now i'm really scared not because i'm pregnant but because i don't no if me and the baby are going to be alright... don't trust contraceptive.

It never hurts to test for peace of mind. Also, If you spend money on the test it is almost a guarentee that you will get your period in 7.5 hours after you test! LOL
