Heck no. They should lose their license for a year the first time, plus shock jail time.

ask, what is it, the 20,000 americans killed every year by drunk drivers. in the time we've been in iraq, we've lost 100,000 people to drunk drivers but, is it, 4,000 to the iraq war and about 500 to airplane crashes. i'd fear drunk drivers more than war or airplanes. i don't drive on roads at night unless oncoming traffic is separated from my car coming forward.

NOT AT ALL. They should be much harsher for a second one. I had six and they always let me bail out on a very low amount. I moved out of the country but no longer drink and drive. In Bulgaria for a second offence you get the death penaly. READ IT! I will never drink and drive again, and I am very lucky I did not hurt anyone

I work at a newspaper, and when I check the names in the police blotter, there's usually someone with multiple DUIs- up to SIX! DUI, SIXTH OFFENSE! what the hell, people? In Germany, if i remember right, you lose your license FOREVER on the first offense. Minimum, your first offense should make you lose your license or go on super special better not catch you speeding probation for a certain amount of time, with one of those car-breathalyser thingies. This is your one-time, made a mistake, giving you a chance to learn offense. If you get busted again, you should never be able to drive anything bigger/faster than a motorised wheelchair ever again.
