it's not the easiest thing to 'ride well'...lots of things influence, such as guy's penis size, girl's flexibility, and whether you're on a floor or bed or chair....if she leans forward and puts her elbows down while she's on top (on bed or floor) it may be easier to get more actual up and down movement...have fun!

Well, I could suggest something to the effect of putting her on a mechanical bull until she learns the proper way to ride.
But I might also suggest you try some different positions, such as spooning, which might eliminate the 'on top' problem altogether.
As for the embarrassment, I would suggest having her ride you in a chair, where it might be easier to maintain control, using a blindfold so she feels less self-conscious, and above all, practice makes perfect.
