Oddly enough, in our 2 family duplex, I have central A/C downstairs. But there is none upstairs where my brother lives. He has a window unit, but he almost never runs it. He leaves windows open and runs fans. And here, the humidity is worse than the heat! I don't know how he can stand it (although he IS cheap!). His wife is from the Phillipines, and it doesn't seem to phase her at all. Of course, she came to the States in the winter, and quickly learned to hate the cold and snow!
