why don't you invest in those shoulder things that the american footballers wear (just the pads though, the helmet may look a bit peculiar).

Unless you happen upon some in a vintage shop, you are most likely going to have to do a little work...but not as much as you thought. You shouldn't need to cut or sew!

Crop tops are available online (bebe.com, forever 21 and other trendy retailers) and they now make shoulder pads that do not need to be sewn...they fit under a bra strap!

I liked these Crop Top & Camis:

(Scroll down to see the cute comfy shirt and crop top)

Shoulder pads that slide under bra straps--no sewing!

Honestly though...why do you need the pads? If you are able, with some hand weights you can create the same look...my shoulders are fairly padded looking for a small woman (see link in profile).

    Done. never again.

I would just cut off a T-shirt and add the pads yourself. you said you like them really high, and while Joann Fabric only makes them one inch, you probably won't have as much luck finding them on the internet. You can try searching with a variety of words like "shirts big shoulder pads" "loungewear padded shoulders" etc. and try mixing them up. That's what I do when I search for really specific information.

Try JascoUniform.com and then you will have to go to the nursing section. I think they should have want you want.? You probably should just cut off a white tee and add pads yourself(saves money).
