Hi, the duo were friends throughout school, so I would have thought they both contributed as much as each other.

I really dont think "Simon & Garfunkel" would have been "Simon & Garfunkel" without at least both of them.

I think given the end result and success of the individuals it would be reasonable to assume there been more contribution from one party. However this isn't necessarily the case, and it doesn't mean that one was more driven AT THE TIME. Though one has clearly been more driven and/or talented ever since - I think that is the only fact here.
