If this job isn't part of your career-path future-plan, then maybe you should quit. Who's to say that the boss won't see you as the next target down the line. Besides, things won't be as fun without your friend around.

Dnt quit. Find another job first. Wen you do.. then jst wait till your job gets busy n yourmanager needs you, then be like... nah! Do it yourself... thats wat he/she gets

I would find myself another job befpore I quit, but I would also make sure that my letter of resignation went to his superiors (copied if need be) and that I put in it exactly what my reasons for leaving were. I would also be advising your friend to speak to someone like the Citizen's Advice Bureau to see what he can do about unfair dismissal if he can prove that he was fired for something he didn't do.

I would not quit if my friend was fired. However, if the manager "hated" me, I definitely would find another job.

My boss told people that he hated me and was going to find an excuse to fire me. I finally walked off the job, and he did fire me.
