  • I think its dumb to try and reach one type of audience, best thing you can do is realize that everyone will see what you make eventually. Being aware that you will reach multiple audiences is very helpful. *.*
  • i always make it a point to know a little bit about the folks i'm going to be talking with. by doing so, it shows them that i am interested in them. i am able to select examples and expressions part of their culture, thus, they're more likely to "buy into" the presentation.
  • so you can relate. For instance, if you are talking to a group of counselors or psychology students than you can freely talk about things like depression, suicide, abuse, etc and they will relate and stay interested. If you talk to them about fixing a car, most of them won't be interested. You won't "know" your audience individually but you can know them as a group like "social workers, nurses, etc'
