    There is a lot of evidence that the high fructose corn syrup in diet soda triggers something in your brain that makes you crave more sweet foods, which leads you to eat more unhealthy food. At the very least, it definitely bloats you; if you want more expert advice read here:

    I have heard there are ingredients in Diet Soda that actually trick your brain into thinking you are hungry. The name of the chemical in diet soda escapes me at the moment. These companies are killing people slowly. Better to drink water and stay hydrated. Drink alot of water and exercise - thats how you lose weight.
