  • Maybe you could do something on global warning, because that seems to be the main thing right now trying to stay green
  • War and peace; freandship between world's citizens, no matter what color is their skin or what language they speak.
  • This is going to sound completely off the wall, but you could get a very nice one minute speech extolling the virtues of using bread flour instead of all-purpose flour when baking bread from scratch.
  • The topic should be answerbag. It's perfect. The speech could pretty much write itself. You're pretty much guaranteed that no-one else will have the same speech, which you can't say about global warming and war. You can even make reference to the fact that you didnt know what to "speech" about and how someone (that's me) suggested that you do the speech about answerbag. EDIT: I keep thinking about this and how you could really pull this off so you really have to do it and tell me how it goes.
  • The story behind the lyrics of the Dave Matthews Band song, "Don't Drink the Water."
  • How about Peace
  • one of my more favorite topics is "the simpsons". i'd be tempted to talk about something like how the listener to a one-minute talk can learn from the talk (e.g., listening, note-taking, asking questions, applying the material to other areas ...). good luck!!!
  • You could compare cell phone companies and there plans and costs. that'd be interesting to someone who's getting a phone
  • i think on peace...not like "why we need peace" or "how we could achieve peace" but more like "is peace actually a reality or more of a dream" "is peace more of an utopia that we try to strive for but yet we do so many things that go against it to achieve it. like war. guns..."ive done this one before. lol
