  • :) im going to enjoy answering this. FYI: i am not a religious person - in the traditional sense. i believe in my own views about death and life. ok, here we go Jesus DID perform miracles. you can see Jesus type miracles right now on you tube. on television we see these prophets, missionaries and holy priests. people truly believe in the power of these individuals. (now lets get into psychology) the mind is the most amazing thing in the world. the mind has the power to block out stimuli that is too dangerous for it, and hence you get automatic defense mechanism such as, going into shock to prevent you from feeling extreme pain, it can boost adrenaline and cause your body to have the strength of ten men (this can be seen when people have seizures, you will not be able to hold down a person who is having a seizure because of the muscle contractions) it can also heal you (endorphines are a feel good neurochemical that has the power to boost the immune system, u can see this by studies that show laughter can cure cancer. back in the time of jesus (who i believe actually existed - perhaps not all power) people who needed cures when to him. just like people do now a days, as seen on tv. these people believe that they have the power to cure disease and it does. if a man was crippled and hasn't walked for 20 yrs.. if he truly believes he will walk, but only temporarily - but this temp, will cause the individual to believe in himself and shows him that it is possible allowing for a strong motivating factor to practice walking.. and ta da.. a miracle that started with a belief.... there are actually people to whom this has happened to. sometimes these people are not even as disabled as they claim, but they need to motivation to begin. i hope thats a decent answer.
