  • Probably, but no one is quite sure. The end of the universe is a concept that has yet to be proven. We know that the univers seems to have a boundary but that could just be the actual limit of our detection equipment and given the distances involved, it isn't likely that anyone will ever actually go an see what is out there.
  • There's no current consensus on what the universe is actually made of, aside from what it contains, so there is really no way to answer this that doesn't involve esoteric theories or philosophy. But the general thought is that the universe is "something" and what lies "beyond" it is "nothing", which is to say that the question is not really valid with our current understanding of what physically comprises reality. Because all time and space began with the Big Bang and the extent of which these have expanded from that beginning comprises the totality of reality. There are some fascinating ideas that have become quite popular in cosmology recently, such as String Theory, M Theory, Loop Quantum Gravity, to just name a few. Check out some notable works from Stephen Hawking ("A Brief History Of Time") and Brian Greene ("The Elegant Universe" & "The Fabric Of The Cosmos").
  • Currently most believe the universe is shaped like a balloon. It is just the rubber and like a balloon actually has no end. Too deep for me, can't even begin to explain this logic though.
  • There is no outside of the universe, even though the universe may be finite. The idea that there is an outside is an artifact of the way you are applying your everyday model of earthly things to an inappropriate situation.
