If you legally live in the US, you can get a state ID or a passport. Either one of those are accepted forms of ID - especially to get into the movies.

The movie theater has discretion to let anyone in the movie. There is no law that says you must be 17. This is only an advisory, which most theaters abide by. Thus, a movie theater will likely accept anything that seems to be a reliable indicator that you are at least 17. But if you have a license, state issued ID, military ID, or a passport, these are all legal ID cards.

Ask your Mom for your birth certificate. You would need it to get an ID at the DMV, anyway. Even people who do not drive cars need ID's, as you have discovered, so for the future, I suggest you go ahead and get yours from the DMV. It is not a driver's license, but simply a picture ID that can be used where ever ID's are required. My Grandsons got theres when they were very young, because they were frequent fliers and even before the days of strict security, they needed to fly alone.
