I have no family where i live and just lost my sister to a car wreck. I went from 46 and single to an instant parent of two tenage daughters. I have family in La and Sandiego and would like to move for the girls sake. But i need to know where is the most

    Either city will be expensive, and both are getting hit with a recession right now. Before you move, make sure you have a job in the new city. No responsible landlord will rent to a person who has no income. The few who would, don't run the kind of building where you want to be raising teenagers.

    Once you arrive, look for a duplex or 4-plex. Avoid large complexes where you're likely to be dealing with a management company that has fixed policies and that is required to reject people with bad credit. On a per-square-foot basis you will also be paying less.
