  • Well, that's a little TMI, but I guess you can. Be honest with whomever you want to have children with. I'd definitely ask my doctor.
  • Hahaha! You most certainly can. It's more of a nuisance than anything. There is treatment that can be given for it. It won't ruin your life.
  • Yes. A close friend of mine has lived with it for almost 3 years and she is happily married with a 2 year old son.
  • I have herpes (cold sore) and I have very happy family life
  • Yes, I dated a man with it. I never got it. But he had been previously married and had two kids. Apparently the wife did have to get it from him before having the kids because the doctor said it was important that she had an outbreak prior to getting pregnant instead of risking contracting it while pregnant.
  • I dont see why not..if you are talking about someone who is in a long term relationship...you can use protection and there are some good meds to help with breakouts...concerning having children, the wife/woman would most likely have a c-section...most deff if she is having a breakout at that time...
  • I'm not sure because i don't have herpes or don't know anyone with it...but ppl live happy lives with AIDs so i'm sure they can with herpes too. me..hmmm idk because im not in the situation :-(
  • About a quarter of the entire human population carries the Herpes 2 Virus (90% of the entire human population carries the Herpes 1 Virus). You're talking about 1 out of every 4 people you meet. You can still have a happy life with family and kids (be careful with vaginal deliveries, however, be sure your ob/gyn delivering the baby knows about it). You can get Herpes 2 (and 1) even when using a condom. There are even severe cases where people have gotten severe outbreaks along their throats and chests (ie, acquiring the virus through oral sex - for both men and women). Take heart, you are not alone. Best of luck.
  • Sure. If nothing else, you don't have to worry about catching herpes any more.
  • Yes a person can lead a happy life with this infection...there is a risk that it could be passed on to a baby at birth...However, most women with genital herpes give birth to healthy babies.
  • according to the commercials you'll have the most wonderful life ever.
  • ahahahahaha
  • Believe it or not, EVERYBODY is infected with around 5 of the 8 human herpes viruses.
  • nope just an itchy one =)
  • yes !! my son has herps ,but he lives a great life with a great girl, who he will be marrying in april.
  • canker sores and chicken pox are variants of herpes. I get canker sores and lack of money has done thousands of times more damage to my quality of life than canker sores have... I am sure genetal herpes sucks, but not as bad as living with ones inlaws (which is a small part of the suckiness of being broke.)
  • Personally, I couldn't tell you but I would not be happy.
