My husband and I renewed our wedding vows on our tenth wedding anniversary. What a day! What a celebration! To answer your question I will tell you what we did. Our first wedding was perfect and could never have been matched. We could have, however, duplicated much of it. We chose to do it totally different. It was not the beginning of a new marraige, but a celebration of a successful one. Ups and downs? Of course. Our marriage is our perfect marriage and we wanted to share our lives, our love, and our happiness with everyone that we knew and loved. Many things were similar, but the songs meant more, the bridal party were our friends, and we even let our children be in the wedding. Our daughter was a mini-bride and our son walked me down the isle. It was even more beautiful and more special than our first wedding could have ever been. Go for it. Do everything you want, and don't be afraid to be nontraditional. It's your family, your life, your families day. ENJOY!!!
