  • Depends who you ask. I think that Americans would generally be very opposed to governmental regulation of population, because it would be seen as a threat to personal freedom. Also, governmental attempts to regulate such private, familial matters are generally met with vehement opposition. However, government sponsored population control has been successful in China, and could probably be successful worldwide if overpopulation became extremely severe.
  • I think it would go a long way toward helping with problems such as famine, pollution, lack of housing, crime, congested freeways and many other things. Also stabilize the demand for fossil fuels.
  • I think that populace sponsored government control is more appropriate than a thinly veiled call for mandatory euthanasia.
